Prospective Freshman Application Process - 2024-2025  School Year

* At this time, we have filled our freshman class for the 2024 -2025 school year. Interested applicants are welcome to complete the application process to be considered for the waitpool. Students will be selected from the waitpool to fill openings up until August 1, 2024. Selection from the waitpool is determined by Bishop Verot connection, parish involvement, placement exam scores and academic history, and closely matching openings in specific course levels.

The application process for the 2025 - 2026 school year will open on August 1, 2024.

As part of the application process, please plan to select your applicant's Freshman Placement Exam date. The exam will be offered on Saturday, October 26, 2024 and Saturday, November 2, 2024 on the Verot campus from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

To begin the process, please complete the online application for the applicable school year. There is a non-refundable $75 application fee collected at the end of the application process.

All freshman applicants are required to take the High School Placement Exam as part of the application process.  No additional registration or fee is required, however, you must have a submitted application on file prior to attending the exam.

  • This is a national high school exam written by Scholastic Testing Services. The exam covers five areas: verbal, language, reading, math skills, and quantitative math (math aptitude).
  • Test scores help to evaluate incoming freshmen and will be used to determine placement in college prep, honors, and AP classes.
  • Test scores will also be used to determine eligibility for the DeSales Scholarship (only students taking the test on the two fall dates are eligible for this scholarship).
  • There is no testing fee.
  • If applying after the Fall Placement Exam dates, there will be monthly testing dates offered as needed.
