Financial Assistance

We recognize many families want their children to attend Verot, but in some cases the full cost of tuition is prohibitive. Assistance is awarded based upon financial need. To qualify, parents must file a financial aid application for the Step Up for Students Scholarship and with FACTS. Annually, approximately 40% of Verot families receive some level of school sponsored tuition assistance. No athletic or other extracurricular scholarships are awarded.

All applications are evaluated by the Bishop Verot Finance Committee after the March 18th deadline. Families must provide the Finance Office with their acceptance or denial letter from the Step Up for Students Scholarship to complete their file for evaluation. Financial assistance is awarded in the spring (typically before the Easter break) to qualifying, registered families.

Except in unique circumstances, transfer students (students currently attending high school at another institution and applying for admission to Bishop Verot for grades 10-12) are not eligible for tuition assistance. Families of these students should meet with the Director of Finance prior to submitting an application.

Catholic Allowance

Practicing Catholic families with a genuine need may now apply for the Catholic Allowance. To be eligible for the $1000 Catholic Allowance, families must submit an application through FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment (the link and information is below) and have their parish complete and return the Parish Enrollment Form.

Please click here for the Parish Enrollment Form, complete the top portion and submit to your parish. Parish staff will complete their portion and return the form to the Bishop Verot Finance Office. The Catholic Allowance form must be received by the Finance Office no later than June 15, 2023 to be applied to the 2023-2024 school year tuition. To verify if a form has been received, please contact the Finance Office.

Eligible families will see a credit to their Facts account prior to July 1, 2023. For more information, please contact Mrs. Houghton, Finance Director, at kathleen.houghton@bvhs.org
