Attendance Policies

Absences 

Parents are required to call the Bishop Verot Attendance Hotline at (239) 274-6746 prior to 9:30 a.m. or email attendance@bvhs.org to notify the school if their child is going to be absent. Upon the student's return to school, the Diocese requires the collection of attendance notes for documentation purposes. Notes can be in the form of a doctor's note (preferable) or a written note from a parent stating the student's name, the date of the absence, and the reason. All attendance notes need to be turned in to the Dean of Students within two days of the student's return to school in order to avoid receiving a detention. Thank you for your cooperation.

Early Dismissal Policy

Students who need to leave school early must bring a parent note (to include time and reason) to the Clinic prior to the start of the school day. Students will be issued a pass for dismissal. This process allows a student to avoid disturbing class time and makes for a quicker release at their dismissal time. In the case of emergencies only, parents may request a child be released early by reporting to the Main Office.

Required Forms

All registered students must have on file a State of Florida Immunization Form (form 680) and the State of Florida School Entry Physical Form.
