Senior Portraits & Yearbook Ads
Picture Day 2020
Yearbook picture retakes are scheduled for Thursday, October 29. On that day, please report to the theater lobby during lunch or after school. Distance learners, this applies to you also. Students still attending classes from home, please report to the theater lobby after school on the 29th.
We want all members of the Verot family to be in the yearbook, so don't forget!
If you would like to order photos, please click here for the order form.
Senior portraits will be taken on campus in the Auditorium Lobby. Every senior should be photographed in semi-casual dress for the 2021 yearbook. Due to Covid concerns, there will be no formal portraits in this year’s yearbook, however, if you would still like to purchase a formal portrait, you can schedule an appointment during an after school or a Saturday session.
There are three different types of appointments you can schedule:
During your English class: These are shorter, 10 minute, appointments. Choose this option if you know that you can change and do your hair and makeup quickly. You will only have 30 minutes to leave class, get ready, take your photo, and get back to class.
After School: These are longer, 20 minute, appointments. Choose this option if you want to sit for a formal portrait in addition to the semi-casual, OR, if you are concerned that you won’t have enough time to primp for your photo during one of the in-school appointments.
Saturdays: These are similar to the after school option. Choose this option if you really need to primp before your photo session. If you want to get your hair done for your photo, this would be the option for you.
If you schedule an appointment during the school day, you will not be allowed to dress out for the entire day. Instead, you will need to bring your outfit with you. You can drop it off on the rolling rack in Mr. Atkins’ room (MB 120), near the front entrance. The photographer will transport the rack to the theater lobby before the first appointment of the day. If you don’t want to worry about your clothes after your appointment, you can return them to the rack and pick them up back in Mr. Atkins’ room (MB 120) from 2:30–3:00 after school.
Important: If you want to schedule an appointment during the school day, you must schedule an appointment time during your English class, and you will need to notify your teacher in advance when making the appointment. You will need to show your English teacher your appointment confirmation on your cell phone to be released from class 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. You will also need to return to class no later than 15 minutes after your scheduled appointment time. Returning to class excessively late may result in disciplinary action at the discretion of the teacher.
When selecting appointment times, please be mindful of any physical education classes that could cause you to mess up your hair, get sweaty, etc. Please choose an appointment time that doesn’t have a PE class prior to your appointment day/time.
For any students who are currently enrolled in distance learning, there are 3 days available on the 14th, 15th and 16th of October both during and after school in the event you are returning for Q2. Seniors attending school during Q1 are requested to NOT utilize these three dates.
*Please note if you would like the formal/traditional drape/tuxedo photo in addition to your yearbook casual photo.
The link to the online scheduling system is:
Please dress appropriately for the yearbook photo. Semi-Casual means “Sunday best”. Ladies should wear a dress, and men a shirt and tie (do not forget your belt).
Also, please remember: come with hair ready, teeth brushed, and bring any special hair styling products you might need.
If you would also like to have the formal picture taken we supply your wardrobe (girls in a black drape and guys in a tuxedo). Ladies, please remember to have or bring a top that comes off of both shoulders without difficulty. The black formal drape comes off both shoulders.
Senior Yearbook Ads
Placing a recognition ad in the yearbook is always a great idea. In the future, seeing your message will bring a smile to your child’s face as they remember your love and support during these important years, and you will have a beautiful, elegant, tangible memento to commemorate your time at Bishop Verot. These traditional ads have been a part of the Bishop Verot yearbook for years and students look forward to seeing them as part of their high school memories.
We have three price tiers for you to choose from:
Full page $300
Half page $150
Quarter page $75
This year, we are offering two ways for you to purchase an advertisement.
If you would like to design your own ad, please click here to do so through the Josten’s website.
If you choose this option, you can pay with a credit card through the website and upload all of your pictures yourself. It’s nice and easy.
If you choose this option, you will have until Friday, January 15, 2021 to complete and pay for your ad.
If you would like to have a yearbook staffer design your ad or create it to your specifications, please email Mr. Clayton Atkins at email@example.com by Friday, November 13, 2020.
You will need to provide our staff with photos as soon as possible.
Please contact Mr. Clayton Atkins, yearbook moderator, at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
