Bishop Verot High School Announces National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist

Bishop Verot Catholic High School is pleased to announce this year’s Semifinalist in the 2022 National Merit Scholarship Program.

Sophia Miller, daughter of Mr. Daniel and Mrs. Larissa Miller of Cape Coral, is one of only 16,000 students nationwide to be recognized among the 1.5 million juniors who entered the competition by taking the 2020 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).

Being named Semifinalist puts Miller in a group representing less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors. These academically talented students have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,500 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $30 million to be offered next spring, after fulfilling several requirements to advance to Finalist standing.

Bishop Verot Catholic High School’s goal is to provide students with a rigorous academic foundation while cultivating a spirit of Christian service, all in the context of a sound moral education.
