Class of 2021 Graduation Information

Seniors will receive their cap and gown for graduation in early May. There is no cost. 


All documented service hours are due to Mr. Latell by the end of 7th period. Students must have a total of 30 documented hours for the school year at a preapproved not-for-profit service site. Failure to turn in documented hours by the deadline will result in a Saturday detention for each week until the hours are completed. Students MUST complete the 30 hours in order to graduate. EASTER VACATION - April 1 - 9 - Classes resume Monday, April 12


PROM - Saturday, April 17  *This is a parent-led event 

The Senior Prom will be held at Sidney Berne Davis Art Center in downtown Ft. Myers. More information will be sent to families from the parents who will be hosting this parent-led event. 

LIVE JESUS RETREAT - April 21 - 23

This is a great way to put things in perspective as high school draws to a close. No student should leave Verot without experiencing a Live Jesus Retreat. The cost is $200 per student and space is limited. For more information contact Mr. Latell at

SENIOR AWARDS ASSEMBLY - Friday, April 30 at 9:30 a.m.

Senior parents are welcome to join us for the Senior Awards Assembly, beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the Viking Stadium.


Students will not be required to attend any of their regular schedule classes on a day they are taking an AP exam. 

LAST DAY OF CLASSES - Thursday, May 6 

SENIOR EXAMS - May  7, 10, and 11

Students who have earned a 93 or above for both quarters in a class will be exempt from the Final Exam (This does not apply to AP courses). 

SENIOR CARAVAN / PARADE - Saturday, May 8 at 6:00 p.m.

Senior parents will drive their student around campus in a decorated car to celebrate the upcoming graduation ceremony.

SPELLMANIA – Wednesday, May 12

SENIOR FAREWELL - Tuesday, May 11 at 6:00 p.m. 

One last opportunity for Seniors to come on campus with their friends for dinner, memory videos, pictures, etc. The school will provide dinner (voted on by Seniors) and photographers to capture the memory for Seniors and their friends, including pictures at various places on campus such as the Theater, Viking Stadium and Baseball Field. Dress for the evening will be dressy casual (Dresses, polos, etc.). 

*This is a new event, so if you have any suggestions on ways we can make this evening more special for your children please reach out. 

MANDATORY GRADUATION PRACTICE – Friday, May 14 at 8:00 a.m.

All seniors report to the Cafeteria at 8:45 a.m. for practice. Students must be on time or they will be issued a work detention following practice. Students who do not attend will not participate in graduation.

BACCALAUREATE MASS – Friday, May 14 at 5:00 p.m.

The Mass will be held at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Cape Coral. Seniors should arrive at St. Andrew Parish Hall no later than 4:00 p.m. Graduates must attend the Baccalaureate Mass in order to participate in graduation. Attendance is limited to the graduates and their parents and masks are required.

            Dress Code for Mass

            All students wear their Graduation gowns – pressed and ironed. Caps are NOT worn.

            Men: dress shirt, tie, dark slacks, dress shoes (no sneakers); clean-shaven, hair neat, no earrings

            Ladies: knee length skirts or dresses, dress shoes (flats or heels)

GRADUATION – Saturday, May 15 at 9:00 a.m.

Gates to Viking Stadium open at 8:00 a.m. Students should report to the cafeteria by 8:15 a.m. for lineup, dress code check, and class photo. Limit 10 guests per senior.
