John Mohring is in his second year as coach of the Girls Weightlifting team after advancing two athletes to regional competition in the program’s inaugural season. Coach Mohring has a Bachelor’s degree from Georgia Southern and a Master’s degree in Sports Administration from the University of Arkansas. After earning All American Team Honors in 2005 and 2006 for football at Georgia Southern, Coach Mohring signed and played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and serves on the Bishop Verot staff as a teacher in the Athletic Department as well as Defensive Coordinator for the Varsity Football team and Head Coach of the Weightlifting teams.
