Non-Verot Student Request - Prom  


The 2018 - 2019 yearbook is coming together and looking great. For any parents who have reserved a senior advertisement and have not submitted any materials, we need them immediately; otherwise, we will not be able to guarantee your ad will be published. Please submit your photos, parent letter, preferences, etc. to Mr. Atkins, or email them to
In addition, final payment for your ad is due on Monday, February 11. You may also still order a yearbook. The cost is $85 and should be sent to the Front Office, attention Yearbook as soon as possible. Final orders will be placed soon. Please email Mr. Atkins with any questions at


Deadline to order custom Graduation announcements is Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at the Balfour site at Late orders will be accepted, subject to a late fee, and customized Bishop Verot announcements are not guaranteed after the deadline. Graduation announcement orders will be distributed in late February.


Seniors will receive their cap and gown for graduation in early May. There is no cost. 

SERVICE HOURS – Wednesday, February 6 - Past 

All documented service hours are due to Mr. Nelson by the end of 7th period. Students must have a total of 30 documented hours for the school year at a preapproved not-for-profit service site. Failure to turn in documented hours by the deadline will result in a Saturday detention for each week until the hours are completed. Students MUST complete the 30 hours in order to graduate. Contact Mr. Nelson if you have any questions.

Students who do not have their hours turned in before Prom will NOT have the opportunity to attend our prom or another school's prom. 

LIVE JESUS RETREAT – March 28 - 31 - Past 

This is a great way to put things in perspective as high school draws to a close. No student should leave Verot without experiencing a Live Jesus Retreat. The cost is $200 per student and space is limited. For more information contact Fr. Casey at or Mr. Nelson at

GRAD BASH - Friday, April 12 - Past 

Seniors will leave Bishop Verot at 12:00 p.m. and return around 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 13. The cost for this event is $160 ($110 for Universal ticket - includes a pre-party at City Walk before park entry / $50 bus trip) and payment is due to Mr. Granieri by April 5. Permission slips will be available on canvas.

EASTER VACATION - April 18 - 26 – Classes resume April 29 - Past

SENIOR AWARDS ASSEMBLY - Friday, May 3 at 9:30 a.m. - Past

Senior parents are welcome to join us for the Senior Awards Assembly, beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the Anderson Theater.

PROM - Saturday, May 4 - 8:00 - 11:00 p.m. - Past

The Junior/Senior Prom will be held at Sidney Berne Davis Art Center in downtown Ft. Myers. Tickets are $50 and will be on sale the week prior to Prom during Flex in the cafeteria. Tickets will not be sold at the door. Students who would like to be accompanied by a Non-Verot guest must fill out the Non-Verot Student Request Form and return to Mr. Nelson. SENIOR LUNCHEON – Wednesday, May 8 - Past

Seniors will be dismissed from classes at 11:34 and will report to Lakes Park at 11:45 a.m. for a Senior Picnic. Students will participate in a short prayer service, luncheon, and games.


Students will not be required to attend any of their regular schedule classes on a day they are taking an AP exam. Please click here for the AP Exam Schedule. 

LAST DAY OF CLASSES - Thursday, May 16 

SENIOR EXAMS - May 17, 20, and 21

Students who have earned a 90 or above for both quarters in a class will be exempt from the Final Exam (This does not apply to AP courses). Please click here for the Senior Exam Schedule. 

BACCALAUREATE DINNER (Parent-led, Optional) - Saturday, May 18 at 6:30 p.m.

Please click here for more information about this optional event. Based on the positive response, the venue has been secured. The deadline for reservations has been extended until capacity is reached. 

SPELLMANIA – Wednesday, May 22        

The show begins at 1:00 p.m. in the Nevins Gym – parents are welcome. Dress code is casual but appropriate. Seniors should arrive at 12:30 p.m. to get senior seating.

MANDATORY GRADUATION PRACTICE – Friday, May 24 at 10:00 a.m.

All seniors report to the Cafeteria at 10:00 a.m. for practice. Students must be on time or they will be issued a work detention following practice. Students who do not attend will not participate in graduation.

BACCALAUREATE MASS – Friday, May 24 at 5:00 p.m.

The Mass will be held at St. John XXIII Catholic Church. Seniors should arrive at the St. John XXIII community room no later than 4:15 p.m. Graduates must attend the Baccalaureate Mass in order to participate in graduation.

            Dress Code for Mass

            All students wear their Graduation gowns – pressed and ironed. Caps are NOT worn.

            Men:  dress shirt, tie, dark slacks, dress shoes (no sneakers); clean-shaven, hair neat, no earrings

            Ladies:  knee length skirts or dresses, dress shoes (flats or heels)

GRADUATION – Saturday, May 25 at 11:00 a.m.

Doors to the Nevins Gym open at 10:00 a.m. Students should report to the cafeteria by 10:15 a.m. for lineup, dress code check, and class photo. 

VALHALLA - Saturday, May 25

Valhalla is a parent-led after Graduation gathering at Zoomers in Ft. Myers. Parents must register their student to attend and are encouraged to help make this a memorable event for the graduates. A letter will be mailed to parents with more information and sign up instructions.
